Neurodiversity 101

August 24 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Neurodiversity is a complex topic where shared language and understanding are essential to every team’s success. Whether or not it’s been named directly, young people and staff who are neurodivergent are present in every program. This two-hour foundational training gives participants a shared vocabulary for talking about neurodiversity, along with tools to recognize and consider common accommodations for youth and staff. Through refl ection and discussion, participants will examine their own assumptions and starting points around neurodiversity. Participants leave with at least one practical next step they can apply directly in their program, along with the shared foundation that prepares them for deeper sessions on related topics.

Two Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC). If you would like to request CEUs, you may do so in the evaluation survey sent after completing this training.
