Diversifying Funding 101
| Cuts to government grants and tightening of assistance mean that organizations are under increasing pressure and competition to access resources. Meanwhile, traditional grants often come with high administrative and reporting burdens. However, there are other sources of funding which small organizations can benefit from. Private philanthropy, foundations, corporate partnerships, crowd-funding, and income-generating offers can provide other sustainable routes. Informed by both philanthropy and business development, this session will look at fundraising and income generation through a wider lens. Participants will: Map their organization’s current funding streams and where the heaviest strain is Brainstorm relevant new sources of income Identify steps to get started. One and a half continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for participants with active social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC). If you would like to request CEUs, you may do so in the evaluation survey sent after completing this training.
