Grants, Funding & Sustainability 101
Grants and funding can feel like a closed system to staff who haven’t navigated it directly. This two-hour foundational training gives participants a shared understanding of how grant funding works, built around hands-on, interactive activities. Participants will learn to distinguish between public and private funding sources and apply a simple test for deciding whether a funding opportunity is worth pursuing. The session closes with participants identifying at least one practical next step to apply to a funding opportunity in the year ahead, along with the foundation needed for deeper sessions on related topics.
Two Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC). If you would like to request CEUs, you may do so in the evaluation survey sent after completing this training.
