CCBYS Legal Training for Practitioners Working with Youth in Crisis
Please join ICOY’s Legal Training to review best practices for working with youth and families within the context of an agency’s legal responsibilities. Topics covered include: decision-making authority and the various parties involved; juvenile justice laws and intersecting legal proceedings; crisis situations and response strategies; the health rights of minors without parental consent; and legal guidelines for case managers. Attendees will be asked to actively participate in breakout sessions and full group discussions.
Note: This training includes morning and afternoon sessions, with a one-hour lunch break midway.
Five continuing education units (CEUs) available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses. Attendees must attend the entire training to receive full CEUs.
