Identity, Culture and Power: The Ecosystem of Our Lives
This session invites participants to explore the interconnected concepts of identity, culture, and power, examining both their individual meanings and the dynamic relationships between them. Through discussion and reflection, participants will generate relevant examples that illustrate how individual identities are shaped by cultural contexts and influenced by power dynamics, while considering the impact of these interactions within their own personal, professional, and community settings. By developing a deeper understanding of identity, culture, and power as an interconnected ecosystem, participants will explore how understanding these concepts can remove barriers to connection and mutual care.
Two continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for participants with active social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC). If you would like to request CEUs, you may do so in the evaluation survey sent after completing this training.
