This session helps participants understand and respond skillfully to sustain talk and discord, which are often misinterpreted as “resistance.” Participants will learn MI-consistent strategies to reduce tension, maintain collaboration, and transform challenging moments into opportunities for engagement and productive change conversations. Three Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC).
