Gender and Sexuality 101
This is an introductory course on Gender and Sexuality 101. This virtual training will focus on building foundational knowledge as well as best practices. Gender and Sexuality 101 aims to be accessible and beginner friendly, to support facilitators who are beginning to work to make their programming more inclusive.Topics will include
– Spectra of Identities
– Intersectionality
– Pronouns – – – — – Social Determinants of Health
This training will center on the understanding that all youth deserve access to safe spaces, and this training will lay foundational knowledge for developing safe and inclusive practices in out-of-school time for LGBTQIA+ youth. Three Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC).
