Alex is the Director of Process Improvement and Technology at ICOY. As a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in Political Science, Alex brings previous experience in research, education policy, and youth service to his role.

Since joining ICOY in December 2016, Alex has been key driver of innovation and change to the organization’s use of technology and data management. With a sharp eye for detail, Alex collaborates with members of all ICOY’s teams to evaluate, audit, and improve the way our work is done. Additionaly, Alex is the supervisor of ICOY’s Communications & Outreach team, which manages front facing communications and and relationships with our member organizations.

Outside of work, Alex lives in Chicago with his wife and mini-dachshund Franklin. Some of his favorite hobbies include movies, music, cooking, and travel.
