During this session, we will discuss trauma and stress related disorders that can trigger specific mental illnesses. Participants will process ways to support and advocate for clients that might be experiencing a mental health upset. We will also explore the importance of educating clients on the benefits of mental health supports

About the Facilitator: Heshima has dedicated over 18 years to the social service and mental health field. Her professional experience has included parent education, family assessments, and individual and group therapy. In addition, Heshima coordinates workshops and trainings, faculty conferences, while supporting individuals and organizations with gaining an understanding about the many aspects of trauma-informed care.
