DESCRIPTION:This ICOY training provides an overview of motivational interviewing and its key elements for effective practice: Values\, Ambivalence\, Empathy\, the Spirit of MI\, O.A.R.S\, and Eliciting Change Talk. The main focus of motivational interviewing is to partner with the individual to enhance motivation and utilize ambivalence to build a successful plan for making change.
