SUMMARY:YASI Case Planning
DESCRIPTION:This four-day online training guides participants through a four-step model of effective case planning. The first step includes training in the YASI (Youth Assessment Screening Instrument) computerized risk/protective assessment tool as well as skill development in interviewing. The second step aids participants in choosing appropriate interventions\, as well as an introduction to a framework to increase client involvement. The third step reviews the “what works” literature and the usage of this resource throughout the final step of the case planning model. \nNote: You must have your webcams on during this training. \nRegistration Policy: Please be aware that if you were previously a “no show” or participated in the YASI Case Planning training and did not complete it\, you will not be allowed to register or participate in the YASI for 6 months (2 quarters) from your original registration date. Only one participant per device: ICOY strongly advises against any device sharing between participants in our virtual trainings. If multiple people log in to a training using a single computer\, ICOY will only record the name and organization of the registrant whose computer is being utilized as having attended the training. Further\, only the individual that registers for the training will be eligible to receive CEUs and a Certificate of Attendance. \nTime: 9:00am-3:30pm each day with a one hour break. \nTwenty-four continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW\, LCSW\, LPC\, LCPC). If you would like to request CEUs\, you may do so in the evaluation survey sent after completing this training. For more information on ICOY’s training attendance policy please see here: https://www.icoyouth.org/attendance-policy/   \nTrainer: Diana Wavra

SUMMARY:Grant Writing 102: Distinct and Unique- Setting Your Organization Apart from Other Grant Applicants
DESCRIPTION:Imagine a grant officer sitting in front of the stack of proposals she received today. How do you ensure that she forwards your proposal on for review? Imagine a grant reader who has two days to review a dozen grant proposals. How do you increase your chances that he will read past your executive summary? Imagine several organizations similar to yours submitting proposals similar to yours. How do you make your proposal stand out from the rest? Although there are no guarantees to securing grants\, there are many strategies you can use to distinguish yourself from other applicants.\nTrainer: Kristin Olson
