SUMMARY:Building a Neuroinclusive Culture
DESCRIPTION:Whether or not it’s been named directly\, young people and staff who are neurodivergent are present in every program. This session looks at the organizational and programmatic shifts that create real belonging for all youth and staff. It explores how everyday practices\, policies\, and physical spaces shape whether people who are neurodivergent feel included or overlooked. Participants leave with a broader perspective on building a culture where neurodivergence is expected and welcomed\, along with ideas they can adapt to their own programs. \nOne and a half Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW\, LCSW\, LPC\, LCPC). SUMMARY:CCBYS Legal Training for Practitioners Working with Youth in Crisis
DESCRIPTION:Please join ICOY’s Legal Training to review best practices for working with youth and families within the context of an agency’s legal responsibilities. Topics covered include: decision-making authority and the various parties involved; juvenile justice laws and intersecting legal proceedings; crisis situations and response strategies; the health rights of minors without parental consent; and legal guidelines for case managers. Attendees will be asked to actively participate in breakout sessions and full group discussions.  \nNote: This training includes morning and afternoon sessions\, with a one-hour lunch break midway.  \nFive continuing education units (CEUs) available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses. DESCRIPTION:This introductory training will provide participants with an overview of the Comprehensive Community-Based Youth Services (CCBYS) contract\, including basics on delivering services and information on how to comply with grant requirements. This training is perfect for crisis workers\, case managers\, and supervisors who are new to CCBYS.
