SUMMARY:Grants\, Funding & Sustainability 101
DESCRIPTION:Grants and funding can feel like a closed system to staff who haven’t navigated it directly. This two-hour foundational training gives participants a shared understanding of how grant funding works\, built around hands-on\, interactive activities. Participants will learn to distinguish between public and private funding sources and apply a simple test for deciding whether a funding opportunity is worth pursuing. The session closes with participants identifying at least one practical next step to apply to a funding opportunity in the year ahead\, along with the foundation needed for deeper sessions on related topics. \nTwo Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW\, LCSW\, LPC\, LCPC). If you would like to request CEUs\, you may do so in the evaluation survey sent after completing this training. For more information on ICOY’s training attendance policy please see here: https://www.icoyouth.org/attendance-policy/ \nTrainer: Caitlin Botsios

SUMMARY:Restorative Justice 201: Practicing the Principles
DESCRIPTION:Building on the foundations established in RJ 101\, this interactive session explores how restorative justice principles come to life in complex\, real-world situations. Through facilitated discussion\, applied scenarios\, and opportunities for reflection\, participants will deepen their understanding of shared power\, trauma-informed practice\, and restorative decision-making. The session also introduces transformative justice as a complementary framework that challenges participants to think beyond systems-based responses toward community-led approaches to accountability and healing. \nLearning Outcomes\n● Apply restorative justice principles to complex practice situations.\n● Strengthen trauma-informed and healing-centered responses.\n● Explore restorative and transformative approaches to accountability.\n● Develop practical strategies for navigating conflict and fostering repair. \nTwo continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW\, LCSW\, LPC\, LCPC). If you would like to request CEUs\, you may do so in the evaluation survey sent after completing this training.
