SUMMARY:CCBYS Legal Training for Practitioners Working with Youth in Crisis
DESCRIPTION:Please join ICOY’s Legal Training to review best practices for working with youth and families within the context of an agency’s legal responsibilities. Topics covered include: decision-making authority and the various parties involved; juvenile justice laws and intersecting legal proceedings; crisis situations and response strategies; the health rights of minors without parental consent; and legal guidelines for case managers. Attendees will be asked to actively participate in breakout sessions and full group discussions.  \nNote: This training includes morning and afternoon sessions\, with a one-hour lunch break midway.  \nFive continuing education units (CEUs) available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses.
