SUMMARY:Bridging Gaps Between Schools & Community Based Services
DESCRIPTION:This training will take a closer look at components of community safety and underscore the importance of strong relationships between communities and schools for maintaining safe neighborhoods. Providers will take a deeper look into common barriers to community partnerships specifically related to supporting justice/system-involved youth. Participants can hope to leave the training session with knowledge of creative ways to establish trauma-informed relationships while navigating confidentiality\, through resource sharing and trust building. \nTwo continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for participants with social work and professional counseling licenses (LSW\, LCSW\, LPC\, LCPC).
